Fast-Track Coordination and the origin of the POWERBIM platform for major skyscrapers
The BMCE Tower in Rabat represents one of the most ambitious engineering and construction challenges on the African continent. Standing over 250 meters tall with 50,000 m² dedicated to offices, luxury housing, and commercial premises, the project required an extremely demanding Fast-Track management methodology between October and December 2017. BIM6D was appointed by Groupe NOX to lead the management, BIM coordination, and complete modeling of MEP facilities, keeping the architectural vision of the Rafael de la Hoz studio intact.
The scope of the work performed is divided into several areas:
- HIGH-COMPLEXITY BIM MEP MODELING IN PLANT ROOMS AND CRITICAL AREAS
- AUTOMATION OF AUDITS AND QUALITY CONTROL VIA DYNAMO ROUTINES
- AUTOMATIC PARAMETRIC INJECTION AND SHARED CLASSIFICATION SYSTEMS
- DEVELOPMENT OF THE PIONEERING POWERBIM PROTOTYPE (AUTODESK FORGE + POWER BI)
- DEPLOYMENT OF A COMMON DATA ENVIRONMENT (CDE) ON GOOGLE CLOUD
- MULTIDISCIPLINARY COORDINATION AND FAST-TRACK ISSUE MANAGEMENT


Developed Technologies
Leadership in project management and coordination of MEP systems under critical deadlines. Integration of technical disciplines (structure and facilities) while maintaining the architectural design by Rafael de la Hoz unaltered.
Three-dimensional modeling with maximum level of detail (LOD) in plant rooms, vertical service shafts, and main distribution nodes of the tower’s 50,000 m², ensuring constructive feasibility on-site.
Programming of custom scripts in Dynamo for automatic error correction, data quality auditing, and massive injection of parameters linked to a standardized external database.
Development of the first operational version of POWERBIM by combining Autodesk Forge APIs and Power BI, allowing 3D visualization and real-time data extraction from a web browser.
Deployment of an open-source CDE infrastructure on Google Cloud virtual machines. Includes document management aligned with BSI PAS 1192, IFC/Forge viewers, issue manager (RFIs), and secure web/mobile access.
Interactive supervision of the federated model by levels, zones, and shared classification systems. It allows clients and contractors to consult project metrics without the need for complex software or workstations.
